World Environment Day celebrations at Agricultural College, Warangal on 05-06-2025

Agricultural College, Warangal has celebrated the World Environment Day on 05thJune, 2025. The programmehas started with a welcome address by Smt. K. Swathi, Assistant Professor (Agro) & OISA. On this occasion, Dr. A. Venkat Reddy, Associate Dean addressed the gathering about the importance of World Environment Day and the theme of it for 2025 “Beat Plastic Pollution”. Also mentioned that plastic pollution has seeped into every corner of the world, leaching into the water we drink, into the food we eat, and our bodies. While plastic pollution is a major concern, it is also one of the most fixable of today’s environmental challenges, with some obvious solutions at hand and motivated the students and gathering to say “NO” to plastic. On this occasion, all the gathering has taken a pledge on “SAY NO TO PLASTIC”. Later appreciation certificates and prizes were distributed to the winners of Essay writing and elocution competitions conducted on the occasion and theme of world Environment Day-2025 i.e. “Ending Global Plastic Pollution”. All Teaching, non-teaching, out-sourcing staff and students of Agricultural College, Warangal have participated in the programme. The celebrations ended with the distribution of refreshments.
