TRVK & ARS, Tornala conducted diagnostic field visits in paddy and cotton at Kundanavanipally (V), Akkannapeta (M) & Koheda (V & M) along with Agriculture department officials Sri. Sathish, MAO, Koheda, Smt. Srilatha, AEO, Akkannapeta, Sri. Mahipal, AEO, Koheda, Sri. Sridhar, AEO, Koheda, Sri. Rakesh, AEO, Koheda in Mahender, (Paddy) and Narsimha Reddy (Cotton) farmer fields. Paddy crop at Tillering stage and observed Leaf folder. Dr. G. Santhosh Kumar, Scientist & Head, ARS, Tornala , Dr. A. Ramadevi, Smt. A, Saritha and Dr. Ch. Pallavi, Scientist (CP), TRVK, Tornala, Siddipet have explained in detail the symptoms of damage of leaf folder and recommended spray application of Cartap hydrochloride 50SP 2g/L water against leaf folder attack and advised to apply potash fertilizer 12-15kg/ac along with urea. Later, visited Cotton field at square initiation to boll development stage and observed Aphids and Leaf hopper. Noticed yellowing of leaf margins and advised application of Acetamiprid 20 % SP @ 0.25g/L water and also spraying of 13:0:45@ 10g/L to control micro nutrient deficiencies and proper boll development. Chloripyrifos 20 EC @ 2.5ml/L water for Spodoptera management. In this visit, 30 farmers were participated.
