TrVK siddipet organised Training Programme on Best Management practices in Maize on 14.11.2025

TRVK, Siddipet and Maize Research Centre, ARI, Hyderabad organized Training Programme on Best Management practices in Maize and Input Distribution to the ST farmers on 14.11.2025 under Tribal sub plan at Boring Thanda village of Akkannapet mandal, Siddipet District. Dr.Ch. Pallavi, Scientist (CP), TRVK, Siddipet welcomed the dignitaries on the Dias. The Smt. J. Swarupa Rani, District Agricultural Officer attended as chief guest to the programme and addressed the farmers apply recommended doses of fertilizers especially the complex fertilizers as top dressing and explained about harmful effects of excessive application of fertilizers. The Principal Scientist, Dr. R. Susheela, MRC, ARI, Hyd addressed the gathering and briefed the about the Rabi maize management practices. Dr.G.Santhosh Kumar, Scientist (Agro.) explained about characters of maize hybrids released from PJTAU. Later, Dr. Ch. Anusha, Scientist (Ento.) explained about Pest & Disease management in Maize. Later, maize seed DHM-206 which is suitable for growing kharif and rabi seasons, and resistant to post flowering stalk rot, yellow colored flint corn and post emergence tembotrine herbicide was distributed to 25 ST beneficiaries under TSP. In this programme, Smt. Tasleema Sulthana, MAO, Akkannapet, AEO, Srilatha, and 50 no. of farmers have attended.
