TRVK, Siddipet organized exposure visit to the RAWEP students of BJR, Agricultural College, Siricilla to organic farming field of Sri. V. Rajeshwar Reddy at Mundrai (V), Nangunur (M), Siddipet (Dt) on 08.08.2025. Farmer Sri. V. Rajeshwar Reddy had explained the agricultural practices being followed by him in the farm like nutrient management by farm yard manure from the desi cows, castor cake as well to the mango orchard, vegetables, and paddy being grown. Pest and disease management with the neem oil, jeevamrutham, vepa kashayam, and castor oil sprays etc. Weed management is also challenging in organic farming where they control weeds by growing green manures like dhaincha, sunhemp as intercrops in orchard crops and followed by incorporation at flowering stage. In his opinion, yields may not be reduced if we shift to organic farming and in that case no need of premium price as well for organic farm produce. He also mentioned that, farmer is benefitted if there is reduction of production cost, which is possible with organic farming. Dr. Ch. Pallavi, Coordinator, TRVK, Siddipet briefed about the importance of nutrient management using natural inputs, weed and pest control methods, disease management strategies, and the overall impact of organic farming on the environment and human health. In this programme, 20 farmers and 27 No. RAWEP students from BJR, Agricultural College, Siricilla have participated.
