TRVK, YADADRI BHUVANAGIRI TRAINING PROGRAM ON HDPS COTTON on 23.02.2026.

Telangana Rythu Vigyan Kendra(TRVK),PJTAU, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District conducted one day Training program on high density planting system (HDPS)in cotton on 23rd February 2026 at Narayanapuram village, Sansthan Narayanapuram Mandal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District.The event was conducted as part of a special project by the Central Institute of Cotton Reaserch (ICAR-CICR), Nagpur. At the out set Dr.D.Sreelatha, Principal scientist and Coordinator addressed gathering and briefed about the project details and incentives offered by Central Government @5000/- as a direct benefit to the farmer adopted HDPS Cotton during Kharif 2025-26. She also created awareness on cultivation practices of HDPS cotton particularly on selection of varieties, spacing, fertilizers, weed and canopy management. Additionally, explained the importance of using a cotton shredder after harvest was emphasized for effective crop residue management, pest control, and improving soil health, thereby promoting sustainable cotton cultivation practices.FPO Chairam Jakkidi madhusudhan Reddy stated that by using a pneumatic planter, uniform seed spacing achieved,resulted in a significant 40% reduction in labour costs in cotton. In this program, FPO secretary Meghareddy Young professionals Venu,Rupa,Rajesh,Bhanu Chander and progress farmers and more than 72 cotton farmers participated in the Training Program.The participating farmers expressed their enthusiasm and readiness to implement HDPS cultivation on their own fields.The farmers also expressed their interest in using the cotton shredder in their fields.
