An awareness and Sensitisation program regarding mechanized transplantation was conducted by the Telangana Raithu Vignana Kendra (TKVK), Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, at Gouse Nagar village in Bhuvanagiri Mandal on 9th December, 2025. In response to the shortage of labor and escalating production costs towards traditional transplanting farmers, under the leadership of Shri Mandadi Siddareddy, Managing Director and Farmer Coordinator of the Farmer Producer Organization (FPO), have initiated the process of mechanized paddy transplantation in 18 villages of 100 acres of farmer fields during this Yasangi season.The advanced Kubota Paddy Transplanter was used to sow rice seedlings across and incurring hiring cost of rupees 4700 per acre for nursery raising and transplantation starting from December 7th. At this event, Dr. D. Srilatha, Principal Scientist and Coordinator of TRVK emphasized the dual benefits of mechanization as Mechanized paddy transplantation not only saves labor costs but also ensures that the seedlings are planted at the correct depth and proper spacing. This improves air circulation and penetration of better solar radiation among the plants, which reduces pest and disease incidence and ultimately leads to higher yields. She appreciated all the farmers who come forward for machine transplanting. Nearly 60 farmers are attended the program and expressed their satisfaction with kobota transplanter.
