TRVK, YADADRI BHUVANAGIRI - FIELD DAY ON HDPS COTTON ON 17-11-2025

Telangana Rythu Vigyan Kendra(TRVK),PJTAU, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District conducted a field day on high density planting system (HDPS)in cotton on 17th November 2025 at the field of Sri.Sheri Somireddy in Kannaipally village, Raghunathapalli Mandal, Jangaon District.The event was conducted as part of a special project by the Central Institute of Cotton Research (ICAR-CICR), Nagpur. At the out set Dr.D.Sreelatha, Principal scientist and Coordinator addressed gathering and briefed about the project details and incentives offered by Central Government @5000/- as a direct benefit to the farmer adopted HDPS Cotton during Kharif 2025-26. She also created awareness on cultivation practices of HDPS cotton particularly on selection of varities, spacing, fertilizers, weed and canopy management. The young professional Ms R.Rupa explained about the IPM practices for Pink boll worm, Helicovarpa and other sucking pest control management. In this program Agriculture Officer sri A.Srinivas Reddy, REAC member CTZ, Sri Yadagiri,AEO Smt.Kalpana, Young professionals Venu, Rupa, Rajesh, Bhanu Chander and progress farmers and more than 100 cotton farmers participated in the field day and witnessed the performance of HDPS Cotton farmer field.
