As per the instructions of University, the RAWEP-2025-26 batch students studying final year B.Sc (Ag), BJR Agricultural College, Jillela, Sircilla attached to TRVK (DAATTC), Siddipet. As a part of RAWE Programme students conducted Rythu Sadassu cum Agricultural Exhibition at ARS, Tornala, Siddipet District in collaboration with TRVK & ARS, Tornala on 14.10.2025. Smt. K. Hymavathi, I.A.S Collector & District Magistrate, Siddipet district has graced the Rythu Sadassu, inaugurated the Exhibition stall and visited the models prepared by the students and appreciated their efforts. Interacted with farmers & urged them to think of soil health management and motivated them to go for organic farming, further also appreciated the excellent efforts by students under the guidance of ARS Tornala team led by Scientist and Head Dr. Santhosh kumar & Dr. Ch. Pallavi, Coordinator, TRVK. Students displayed and explained the concepts, themes in brief along with model and supporting display chart. The students arranged about 6 stalls as a part of the Agriculture exhibition which includes 12 models on Vertebrate pest management, Paddy crop residue management, protected cultivation, Drip irrigation system, Precision agriculture, IPM in cotton, IPM in Paddy, Sericulture, Hydroponics, different composing methods, green house and polyhouse models, HDPS cotton system, Integrated farming system, raising of green manure and green leafy manures, soil sampling method, problematic soils and their amelioration, Organic farming, Sericulture, Precautions in pesticide spraying. Further, the Managing Executives of M/s IFFCO, Coromandel Fertilizers, Rasi seeds, Dr. Reddys foundation, Agrostar Pvt Ltd have arranged different stalls to showcase their products and machinery for the benefit of farmers. Around 350 numbers of farmers from different villages have utilized the opportunity and visited the exhibition models. After the exhibition, Dr. G. Santhosh Kumar, Scientist & Head, ARS, Tornala welcomed the guests on to the Dais and programme started by lightening of lamp followed by University Song. Later he explained about the achievements of ARS, APT and TRVK, Tornala regarding Research, Teaching and Extension for the benefit of Siddipet district farmers. Further highlighted the beneficiaries’ farmers from seed production, providing quality seed, University flagship programmes like Rythu Mungitlo Shatravettalu, Quality seed at every village and other extension activities. Dr. K. B. Suneetha Devi, AD, BJR, Agricutural college, Jillela, Sircilla explained about the aim and importance of RAWEP and brief activities done by RAWEP students to the dignitaries and farmers. Students from different villages shared their experience about the RAWEP and few host farmers expressed that the programme is very helpful to the villages also as this increases the practical knowledge and continuous field visits. Further, Smt. Y. Padma, ADA, Siddipet division explained about departmental schemes, Dr. Ch. Pallavi explained about Weed management in rabi crops, Dr. D. Swetha explained about Sunflower technology and management practices, Dr. A. Ramadevi explained about Integrated Pest and disease management in different crops, Smt A. Saritha explained about Suitable varieties for rabi season in different crops, Farmer Sri. V. Rajeshwar Reddy had explained the agricultural practices being followed by him in the farm like nutrient management by farm yard manure from the desi cows, castor cake as well to the mango orchard, vegetables, and paddy being grown. In this programme, Agriculture Department officials (MAOs and AEOs) along with 350 farmers participated in Rythu Sadassu and made the event grand success.
