Conducted Rythu Sadassu cum Agricultural exhibition on 24.04.2025 at KVK, Wyra.

The B. Sc. (Agriculture) students numbering 48 from Agriculture College, Aswaraopet were attached for RAWEP 2024 – 25 to KVK, Wyra. As part of course curriculum, students conducted Rythu Sadassu cum Agricultural Exhibition under the guidance and support of KVK, Wyra on 24.04.2025 at Kurnavalli village, Thallada mandal, Khammam Dt. The exhibition stall was visited by Shri Muzammil Khan, IAS, Dr. J. Hemantha Kumar, Associate Dean, Agriculture College, Aswaraopet, Dr K Ravi Kumar, Smt P.S.M Phanisri other teaching faculty of Aswaraopeta along with Department of Agriculture Officials M Pullaiah DAO, Sattupalli Mr. V. Srinivas Reddy, ADA, farmers and farm women along with. All of them viewed the models exhibited on various technologies like Foods with low Glycemic Index, Installation of Pheramone traps of Oil palm, Waste management from Cow dung, Value addition from Rice, closer spacing in cotton, cultivation of tomatoes with mulching and trellis, paired row system of maize cultivation with drip irrigation and its package of practices, various app available for farmers benefit, types of mulching, ways to prevent crop burning. Large number of farmers, farm women, rural youth, students, KVK staff and department personnel participated in Rythusadassu cum Agricultural Exhibition from Khammam District. Shri Muzammil Khan, IAS inspirited the students to grow and develop as a good human being and bring the technologies that are reliable and effective for the farming community. Dr. J. Hemantha Kumar, Associate Dean, Agriculture College, Aswaraopet explained best management practices in Chilli Dr. K. Ravi Kumar, Programme Coordinator (FAC) highlighted best management practices in Paddy, Smt P.S.M Phanisri explained on HDPS cotton , Dr Jhansi Rani provided the information on different pulses and their management practices, Dr Madhu Sudhan Reddy explained different paddy varieties for suitable for Telangana host farmers of different villages addressed the students and wished them well for their future endeavours. The farmers were sensitised The programme continued with feedback from students on their experience during the RAWEP period and farmer’s response to students’ involvement in various activities during their interaction with them. Farmer – scientist interaction was organised to clarify the queries related to different crops.
