The programme primarily focused on the distribution of Bengal gram, sunflower and safflower seed by Hob’le minister of Agriculture, Telangana State. Sri. Tummala Nageshwara rao and who insisted the farmers to follow good management practices explained by the Scientists. Salient features of Bengal gram varieties NBeG -47 and NBeG-252 were explained by Dr.M.V.Nagesh Kumar, Director Seeds and varietal charecteristics of Sunflower and Safflower were explained by Dr. Sreedhar PS, Oil seeds. Followed by Dr.Rukmini, Principal Scientist (Pulses) and Head, ARS, Madhira, gave detailed description of pulse crop management practices to be taken up. Later Director of Research, PJTAU interacted with farmers. Dr.B.Gopi , Director of Agriculture , Govt.of Telangana , Dr. M.Balram, , Dr. M.Yakadri, Director of Extension, PJTAU graced the occasion. The programme was attended by Dr. M. Sreenivasulu, Principal Scientist [Extn] & Coordinator, Electronic Wing along with Team, Officials from Department of Agriculture, Directorate of Agriculture and officials of line departments and about 45,000 farmers from 1578 Rythu Vedikas participated in the programme across the state.
