Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) was celebrated at the College of Food Science and Technology, Rudrur on 31st October 2025 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the significance of national unity, integrity, and security. The event began with a brief introduction and welcome address by Smt. Prashanthi Meda, Assistant Professor, who highlighted the purpose of the celebration and the importance of remembering the contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel towards the integration of India. This was followed by an inspirational address by Dr. K. Venkat Reddy, Associate Dean, who emphasized the importance of unity and harmony in nation-building. He spoke about Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s pivotal role in unifying the princely states and shaping modern India, motivating the students to uphold the values of solidarity and patriotism. As part of the celebrations, a 2K Unity Run was organized from the College of Food Science and Technology to Akbarnagar village. Students, faculty, and local youth actively participated in the run, showcasing their enthusiasm and commitment towards the ideals of national unity. The event concluded with the National Unity Pledge, administered at Akbarnagar, where all participants solemnly vowed to preserve the spirit of oneness and integrity of the nation. Dr. K. Venkat Reddy, Associate Dean, College of Food Science and Technology, Sri. Sayanna, SI, Rudrur and team, teaching and nonteaching staff of college, youth of Akbarnagar village, and students of CFST participated in the programme. The programme fostered a sense of patriotism and togetherness among the students and community, making the occasion meaningful and inspiring.
