KVK, Palem - Quality Seed At Every Village (QSEV 2025) Inauguration At Collectorate Complex, Mahabubnagar District on 02.06.2025

As a part of state formation day celebrations, Hon’ble Minister for Prohibition & Excise, Tourism & Culture and Archeology, Sri.Jupally Krishna Rao unfurl the national flag and follows National anthem and Telangana Song at Collectorate Complex, Mahabubngar District. Minister briefed the welfare schemes and developmental programmes initiated by the government for the progress of Telangana state. Later, Hon’ble Minister inaugurated the "Quality Seed at Every Village (QSEV)" programme and distributed the quality seed to the progressive farmers. Quality seed is a vital input for enhancing crop productivity and ensuring sustainable agricultural development. To ensure the timely availability of quality seed at the grassroots level, Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU) is launching a flagship initiative entitled “Quality Seed to Every Village (QSEV)” for the upcoming Kharif 2025 season. Hon’ble Minister emphaiszed that the programme will be implemented across all 32 districts of the state, encompassing 594 mandals and 10,909 villages. The primary objective of the programme is to ensure the distribution of high-quality seeds of improved varieties developed at various research stations. This initiative aims to benefit farmers by enhancing crop productivity, reducing input costs, and promoting village level seed self-sufficiency. In this context, the seed kits of Paddy (Var.RNR-15048), Jowar (Var.PYPS-2) and Redgram (Var.Asha) seed will be distributed on 3rd June, 2025 at Rhytu Vedikas located at mandal headquarters of the Mahabubnagar District.
