Dr. M. Balram, Director of Research, PJTAU, attended the valedictory session of a three-day workshop on Real-Time Data Acquisition for Maize Conducted by ICAR–IIMR, Ludhiana at NAARM, Hyd,inaugurated the container at the WNC, IIMR, Rnagar, Hyd on 09.01.2026.

Dr. M. Balram, Director of Research, Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTAU), participated in the valedictory session of a three-day national-level workshop on “Real-Time Data Acquisition for Maize” organized by the ICAR–Indian Institute of Maize Research (IIMR), Ludhiana along with Dr. HS Jat, Director , IIMR, Ludhiana and Dr. Gopal Lal Director (Acting) on 09.01.2026 at NAARM, Hyderabad. The workshop was aimed at enhancing the capacity of researchers and scientists in the use of modern tools and technologies for real-time data collection, monitoring, and analysis in maize research. During the valedictory session, Dr. M. Balram, Director of Research, PJTAU highlighted the importance of adopting real-time data acquisition systems in agricultural research to address current challenges such as climate variability, resource-use efficiency and sustainable crop productivity and also distributed the certificates to the participants of the workshop. Dr. M. Balram, Director of Research, PJTAU also inaugurated the container facility at the Winter Nursery Centre (WNC), IIMR, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad on 9th January, 2026 along with Dr. HS Jat, Director, IIMR, Ludhiana, Dr. M.V Nagesh Kumar, Director (Seeds) and Dr. SK. Rao, Professor practice. Dr. R. Susheela, Principal Scientist (Agro) & Head, Scientists of MRU, ARI, Rajendranagar and ICAR-IIMR scientist participated in this event.
