Professor Dr. Srinivasulu Ale, Agrohydrology Specialist from Texas A & M AgriLife, Vernon, USA, visited the College of Agricultural Engineering, Kandi, Sangareddy on 14.11.2025 for an invited lecture. Er. M. Srinivasulu, Assistant Professor & Head (SWCE), welcomed the chief guest to the dais and presented a brief introduction about his academic and research background. Dr. R. Swamy, Associate Dean, College of Agricultural Engineering, Sangareddy, addressed the gathering and highlighted the achievements of the chief guest. During the lecture, Dr. Ale elaborated on critical issues such as declining crop productivity, rising temperatures, and their combined effects on agricultural systems. He provided valuable insights into the impacts of climate change on crop production and emphasized the need for adopting suitable adaptation strategies. He also guided students on research opportunities, career prospects, and higher education pathways, particularly in the USA. Dr. Ale highlighted several emerging fields, including Agricultural Engineering, Agrohydrology, Climate Modeling, Water Resources Management, and Data Analytics. He emphasized the importance of developing innovative technological solutions to address challenges associated with future climate change scenarios. Approximately 150 students and faculty participated actively, contributing significantly to the success of the programme.
