KVK, WYRA Training programme on Balanced use of Fertilizers on 19.12.25

As a part of PM-PRANAM (Programme for Restoration, Awareness Building, Nourishment, and Amelioration of Mother Earth). KVK, Wyra conducted training programme on “Balanced use of fertilizers” in collaboration with Rastriya chemicals and fertilizers to farmers on 19.12.2025. As a part of this programme Dr. K. Rukmini Devi, Principal Scientist ARS, Madhira, explained about the importance and of pulses in crop rotation and improving soil fertility. Rastriya chemicals area manager Shri Purushotham singh explained about the importance of micronutrients in growth of the plants. Dr. T. Sucharitha Devi, Programme coordinator, KVK wyra explained the importance of soil testing. Dr. V. Chaitanya, SMS (Horticulture) explained the integrated crop management practices in Chilli and other vegetables. Dr. T. Pavani, SMS (Crop Protection) explained the importance of IPM in Various Rabi crops and pest and Diseases management in Rabi Maize. Smt. P.S.M Phanisri, SMS (Extension) explained the importance of soil restoration and importance of soil health. Bala Prakash, AO, STL, Khammam and Ramarao, AO, STL, Khammam practically showed the soil testing and sampling methods to farmers. Area Manager Vamshi said about the dosages of NPK and other micronutrients to be sprayed in various crops. Later the farmers viewed the fertilizer bags and shared their doubts and concerns regarding the dosage and use of various fertilizers.
