Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Palem organized Pre Kharif Campaign as a part of Rythu Mungitlo Shastravethalu programme at Rhytu Vedika Bijinepally village, Bijinepally Mandal, Nagarkurnool District on 27.05.2025. Dr. T. Prabhakar Reddy, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Palem highlighted the major themes of the programme viz., Reducing the cost of cultivation by reducing the urea usage in various crops particularly in major crops like paddy, cotton and maize etc and water saving technologies. And also explained the Crop diversification/ Crop rotation with horticulture crops to achieve assured/stable income, planting of trees to protect the nature/ Environment and judicious usage of the plant protection chemicals in order to maintain the ecological balance. Dr. B. Rajashekar, SMS(Extension), KVK, Palem emphasised on measures to be taken (Non chemical IPM practices) to cut down the chemicals usage in order to protect the crop from pests & diseases. A total of 96 farmers, KVK staff, department of agriculture staff, students were participated.
