Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Palem organized Pre Kharif Campaign as a part of Rythu Mungitlo Shastravethalu programme at Nallavelli village, Nagarkurnool Mandal, Nagarkurnool District on 20.05.2025. Dr. B. Rajashekar, SMS (Agrl Extn), KVK, Palem emphasized on the themes & major objectives of the “Raithu Mungitlo Sastravethalu programme” where stressed upon the ill effects of excess usage of the urea, saving the water resources, planting trees, securing the seed/chemical bills etc. also created awareness on market intelligence, crop residue management, importance of mechanization, following the agro advisories of the experts during the crop season, adoption of new technologies. Dr. O. Shaila, SMS (PP), KVK, Palem highlighted the non-chemical integrated management practices includes, usage of biorationals, biological control, pheromone/ sticky traps, trap/border/inter crops, crop rotation, soil treatment/seed treatment with biologicals, deep summer ploughing, precision farming etc. Stressed upon the role of bees in pollination and usages of bee hive products as 20.05.2025 is the “World Bee Day” since encouraged the farmers to save bees and establish bee hive units in their village and educated the year 2025 theme i.e., “Bee inspired nature to nourish us all”. Sri.Ch. Raju, MAO, Nagarkurnool briefed on carbon crediting and beware of the spurious seed while procuring. Smt. Heena, AEO, Nallavelli encouraged the Nallavelli farmers to make use of the biofertilizers. A total of 68 farmers, KVK staff, department of agriculture staff, students were participated.
