KVK, Palem conducted a Diagnostic field visit in Vegetable fields at Venkatapur village on 17.07.2025.

KVK, Palem conducted diagnostic field visits in Vegetable fields (Tomato, Ridge guard, Bitter guard, chilli and Brinjal) of Venkatapur village, Bijinepally (M), Nagrakurnool (D). the crops are at fruit formation stage. For tomato, chilli and brinjal plastic mulch was used and the crop is well maintained, best management practices are followed under the guidance of KVK, Palem. In case of bitter and ridge guards are bamboo pandals were installed. Observed brinjal shoot borer (above ETL) and suggested to spray with Emamectin benzoate @ 80g/acre and installation of white & blue sticky traps in chilli for thrips monitoring and mass trapping. Dr. P. Sreedevi, PC, KVK, Palem discussed about the importance of healthy diet, healthy habits inculpation and Role of vegetables in nutritional security. In this visit Dr. P. Sreedevi, PC, Dr. O. Shaila, SMS (Plant protection), KVK, Palem and 1 men & 1 women farmers (Total participants 6) were participated.
