KVK,Nizamabad (Rudrur) Live Webcasting of 20th Installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and Conducted Joint Diagnostic Field visit in Rice fields on 02.08.2025

KVK Nizamabad has organized Live webcasting of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi on 02.08.2025 at Hegdoli (V), Pothangal (M) of Nizamabad district for viewing the message of Hon'ble Prime Minister Sri.Narendra Modi with farmers of India through live webcasting and released the 20th installment of PM KISAN to farmers account, which will benefit the farmers in aiding input costs. Sri.M.Govind, District Agricultural Officer (DAO), Nizamabad District attended as a chief guest for this Programme. During the programme, Dr.K.Indhudhar Reddy, SMS (Crop Production) & Programme Coordinator (i/c) KVK, Rudrur explained farmers about the crop management and weed management practices in various cropsand also created awareness to farmers regarding new varieties in Rice crop. Followed by Sri.P.Vijay Kumar, SMS (Plant Protection), urged farmers to reduce the use of Chemical pesticides and follow Integrated Pest and Disease management practices like Seed treatment and installation of pheromone traps, etc., Farmers should go for chemical spraying only if it exceeds the Economic threshold level and emphasized on reducing input costs on control measures which will promote environmental friendly agriculture. Dr.M.Swetha, SMS, Agriculture Extension explained farmers about the ICT tools available in agriculture, said that farmers are getting the agro advisories directly to their mobile through Kisan Sarathi. Later, Sri M.Govind, DAO, Nizamabad district said that an amount of Rs.17 crores approximately will be credited into the beneficiaries accounts of Nizamabad district, suggested farmers to utilize the PM schemes effectively, and advised the farmers to reduce the usage of Urea application in their fields. Later a joint diagnostic field visit was conducted in the Paddy fields of Hegdoli village and observed Whorl maggot incidence for which Sri.P.Vijay kumar, SMS (Plant Protection) suggested for the spraying of Fipronil @2.5 ml/lit of water.
