Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal organized series of events to observe “12th Parthenium awareness week” from 16th – 22nd August, 2025. As a part of this, organized Parthenium awareness programme at HRS, Malyal on 18.08.2025 and awareness session to RAWEP students of HRS, Malyal on 20th August, Parthenium eradication awareness programme at Badhru thanda of Nerada Mandal on 21.08.2025, and conducted awareness programme on parthenium eradication awareness programme at upparapalli village on 22nd August. In these programmes, awareness on ill effects of congress grass both on agriculture, horticulture crops and on human and animal health were highlighted bringing awareness on the wide spread weed. Sri B. Kranthi Kumar, SMS (Crop Production) & I/c Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal and Smt. L.Suhasini, SMS (Horticulture) have organized these events at different villages. Other KVK staff and staff of HRS, RAWEP students and farmers of different villages also participated in few events. Number of farmers participated in these programmes were 35 (18-08-2025), 25 (20-08.2025), 10 (21-08-2025), 30 (22-08-2025).
