KVK, Bhadradri Kothagudem organized three day visit Quality Seed for Every Village on 15.11.25

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bhadradri Kothagudem organized three Field Day-cum-Meetings under the PJTAU flagship programme “Quality Seed for Every Village (QSEV)” on 15.11.2025 at the following villages: Nagaram Village, Palwancha Mandal, Morrampalli Banjara Village, Burgampahad Mandal, Mondikunta Village, Aswapuram Mandals of Bhadradri Kothagudem District. The main programme and interaction meeting were held at Morrampalli Banjara. During the meeting, feedback was collected from farmers on the QSEV programme and the performance of Paddy varieties WGL-44 and WGL-1537. Dr. T. Bharath, Programme Coordinator, briefed the farmers about the objectives and benefits of the QSEV programme and emphasized the importance of using quality seed for enhancing crop yield and productivity. Farmers from all participating villages expressed satisfaction with the QSEV initiative and requested continuation of quality seed supply and the programme support in the coming years for the betterment of the farming community. The programme was attended by Dr. T. Bharath, Programme Coordinator, Sri Tatarao, ADA, Manuguru Division; Scientists Dr. N. Hema Sarat Chandra and Sri B. Shiva; AOs, AEOs, PACS Chairmen and Directors, along with 70 farmers.Later, a field visit was conducted in paddy fields where incidences of Bacterial Leaf Blight (BLB) and Panicle Mite were identified. Suitable chemical control measures and integrated management practices were recommended to the farmers for effective disease and pest management.
