Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bhadradri Kothagudem organized a training-cum-field visit in collaboration with the Agriculture Department at various villages of Charla and Dummugudem mandals on 13.11.2025. The training programmes were conducted on Integrated Crop Management (ICM) in paddy, cotton and chilli at Mahadevapuram Village, Dummugudem Mandal and Satyanarayanapuram Village, Charla Mandal. On this occasion, Dr. T. Bharath, Programme Coordinator briefed the farmers on integrated crop management practices in paddy, cotton, and chilli. This was followed by field visits to Mahadevapuram, Tageda and R. Kothagudem, where major pest and disease incidences such as panicle mite, false smut and bacterial leaf blight in paddy and Choenophora stem blight in chilli were identified. Suitable chemical and integrated management practices were recommended for remedial measures. Under the Tribal Sub Plan (TSP), battery-operated sprayers and nutrients were distributed to the participating farmers. In this programme, Dr. T. Bharath, Programme Coordinator, Sri. B. Sudhakar Rao, Assistant Director of Agriculture, Bhadrachalam Division, Dr. N. Hema Sarat Chandra, Scientist (Extension) Sri. B. Shiva, Scientist (Horticulture), AOs, AEOs and about 70 farmers actively participated.
