KVK, Bhadradri Kothagudem feasibility study visit for Beekeeping Project implementation through SHGs and Monitoring of Sunflower Fields under CFLD (Oilseeds) Programme on 24.02.2026

As per the directions of the Hon’ble District Collector Jitesh V Patil, to promote beekeeping as a sustainable livelihood practice, the scientists of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Kothagudem, Dr. N. Hema Sarat Chandra, SMS (Extension) and Mr. B. Shiva, SMS (Horticulture) along with officials from District Rural Development Agency, Kothagudem and representatives of Humble Bee Company, visited various locations in Gundala, Allapalli and Tekulapally mandals to conduct a feasibility study for the upcoming Beekeeping Project to be implemented through SHGs at the household level. During the visit, the team assessed field conditions, availability of floral resources, suitability of locations and potential beneficiary households on 24.02.2026. The team also interacted with the Hon’ble District Collector and discussed the planning, convergence strategy and phased implementation of the project to ensure sustainability and income generation for rural households. the scientists also visited all sunflower fields supported under CFLD (Oilseeds) programme and recorded the necessary data in the Krishi Mapper application for documentation and monitoring purposes
