KVK Bhadradri Kothagudem, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture, conducted a 5-day Skill Training Programme on Natural Farming for Krishi Sakhis, 24th – 27th, January 2026.

Day 1 (Inaugural Session)
The programme was inaugurated by Sri V. Baburao, District Agricultural Officer, who briefed the participants on the National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF) and highlighted the crucial role of Krishi Sakhis in promoting natural farming practices.
A technical session was conducted by Dr. T. Bharath, Programme Coordinator, on the principles and practices of natural farming, preparation of various natural formulations, and suitable cropping systems. Sri B. Shiva, Scientist (Horticulture) delivered a lecture on natural farming practices in horticultural crops.
Day 2
On the second day, Sri B. Shiva, Scientist (Horticulture) explained soil health management through natural farming. Later, Master Trainer Sri Chitti Babu and Sri. P. Paparao demonstrated the preparation of Jeevamrutham, Ghana Jeevamrutham, Neemastra, and Agniastra. Sri Shanmukh Sai, Agronomist, MYRADA NGO, explained maize, rice, and pulses cultivation under natural farming systems.
Day 3
Dr. T. Bharath, Programme Coordinator, delivered a session on Integrated Farming Systems with integration of livestock in natural farming. N. Hema Sarat Chandra, Scientist (Extension) conducted a lecture on marketing and value addition of natural farming products.
Day 4
An exposure visit-cum-training programme was conducted at the natural farm of Sri Kunja Sandeep, where trainees were practically exposed to natural farming preparations and observed various crops grown under natural farming practices.
Valedictory Programme
During the valedictory session, certificates were distributed to the trainees by
Dr. T. Bharath, Programme Coordinator; Sri V. Baburao, District Agricultural Officer; Dr. N. Hema Sarat Chandra, Scientist (Extension); Sri B. Shiva, Scientist (Horticulture).
AO and AEO also attended the programme.
