Inauguration of the Telangana Rythu Vignana Kendra (TRVK) at Huzurnagar, Suryapet District on 23-01-2026

The Telangana Rythu Vignana Kendra (TRVK) at Agricultural Market Committee premises of Huzurnagar, Suryapet District was formally inaugurated on 23rd January 2026 by Prof. Aldas Janaiah, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU), in the august presence of Capt. Nalamada Uttam Kumar Reddy Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly, Huzurnagar and Minister for Irrigation & CAD, Food & Civil Supplies, Telangana. Dr. K. Chandra Shaker, Nodal Officer, TRVK, Suryapet warmly welcomed the Chief Guest, dignitaries, farmers, officials from allied departments, and representatives of print and electronic media to the inaugural programme. Presiding over the function, Capt. Nalamada Uttam Kumar Reddy, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly, Huzurnagar and Minister for Irrigation & CAD, Food & Civil Supplies, Telangana stated that TRVKs will serve as vital hubs for farmer–scientist interaction, facilitating the transfer of advanced agricultural technologies from laboratories to farmers’ fields. He expressed his gratitude to the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of PJTAU for allotting the TRVK to Huzurnagar constituency of Suryapet district. He assured to give Rs. 25 lakhs from MLA grants for the preliminary establishment of the TRVK. He emphasized the need to strengthen Research and Development activities and advised the university to focus on regular farmer training programmes and promotion of best agricultural practices at the village level. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Aldas Janaiah, PJTAU in his address, emphasized the importance of bridging the gap between agricultural research scientists and farmers to address complex farming challenges. He also stated that PJTAU is committed to establishing TRVKs in every district to ensure effective transfer of technology, including improved crop varieties, efficient water and fertilizer management, pest and disease control, and modern farm mechanization. He also stressed the role of TRVKs in empowering farmers through training programmes, field days, and diagnostic visits. Smt A Ramulamma, SMS, KVK, Kampasagar proposed the vote of thanks, The programme was attended by Dr. C. Narendra Reddy, Board Member, PJTAU, Dr. L. Krishna, Associate Director of Research, Southern Telangana Zone; Dr. K. Chandra Shaker, Nodal Officer, TRVK; Shri G Sridhar Reddy, District Agriculture Officer; Sri Nageshwar Sharma, District Marketing Officer, Smt Deshmukh Radhika, Chairperson, AMC, Huzurnagar and several other dignitaries. Officials from allied and other departments also participated in the programme. Around 250 farmers from different villages of the district actively participated in the inaugural event.
