Green Campus initiative at Agricultural College, Aswraopet, PJTAU on 29.08.2025.

As part of the Green Campus initiative, NSS Programme Officers Ms. D. Sravanthi, Dr. P. Jhansi Rani, and Dr. K. Ravi Kumar, along with Green Club in-charge Dr. P. Neelima, organized an activity on the installation of dustbins and the establishment of a dust and plastic collection points in farm section of Agricultural College, Aswaraopet. While addressing the gathering, Associate Dean, Dr. J. Hemantha Kumar enlighten the students about significance of “Green Campus Initiative”. He added that this initiative helps in protecting the environment by reducing pollution, conserving natural resources, and lowering the ecological footprint of institutions. Through activities like waste segregation, recycling, and tree plantation, it fosters a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable campus environment. Further he appreciated the NSS PO’s and Green club incharge for taking such steps for implementing the initiative. NSS volunteers actively participated in collection of different wastes from campus premises, boys hostel and Lord Ganesha pavilion and disposed in the collection points. Teaching faculty, Teaching Associates, non teaching staff took part in the activity with great enthusiasm.
