Grand Conclusion of Inter-Polytechnic Sports, Cultural and Literary Competitions at Agricultural Engineering, Polytechnic, Kandi, Sangareddy

The valedictory function of the Inter-Polytechnic Sports, Cultural and Literary Competitions, organized at the Agricultural Engineering Polytechnic College, Kandi, Sangareddy, under the aegis of Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU), was held in a grand manner on 18.12.2025. The programme began with a welcome address by Dr. R. Swamy, Principal, Agricultural Engineering Polytechnic, Kandi, who extended a warm welcome remarks to the guests, faculty members and students. This was followed by the observations of the University Observer, Dr. L. Raja, Assistant Professor, who shared his inspection remarks. Dr. K. V. Ramana Rao, Dean, AENT, PJTAU, attended the event as the Guest of Honour and delivered an encouraging address to the students. The Chief Guest, Dr. Ch. Venugopal Reddy (DSA), PJTAU, delivered the valedictory address and offered valuable guidance to the students. On this occasion, Dr. Venugopal Reddy appreciated the students selected from the university for their active participation in NSS programmes, noting that they rendered services with discipline and dedication. He stated that such activities help inculcate a spirit of service, leadership qualities and teamwork skills among students, and that their involvement in various social activities has enhanced the reputation of the university. Emphasizing that success and failure should be viewed beyond mere outcomes, he advised students to treat every experience as a learning opportunity. He explained that success builds self-confidence, while failure teaches lessons that guide future progress. He also highlighted that participation in sports, cultural and co-curricular activities alongside academics contributes to physical fitness and mental strength. Students were advised to exercise restraint in the use of mobile phones and to focus fully on their studies. He further noted that committed participation in club activities helps improve leadership qualities and communication skills, while discipline, responsibility and punctuality shape students into successful individuals. To encourage meritorious students, he announced that cash awards of ₹1 lakh, ₹75,000 and ₹50,000 would be given to those who demonstrate outstanding performance at the university or national level.
