Field visit of the Director of Extension on September 3, 2025 to the TRVK, Warangal

On September 3, 2025, Dr. M. Yakadri, Director of Extension , PJTAU, Hyderabad, visited the TRVK, Warangal. He visited several field trial plots of OFT & FLD including HDPS cotton at Krishna Nagar village of Sangem Mandal, Machhapur Village of Geesugonda Mandal and dry-converted wet direct-seeded rice in Gurijala village of Narsampet Mandal of Warangal district. He provided the expert technical recommendations to scientists and farmers and suggested the nipping of buds for enhanced yield in HDPS cotton. He gathered valuable feedback from farmers on the new paddy cultivation technology and advised scientists to promote it for wider adoption. Dr. R. Uma Reddy, ADR, CTZ advised to apply Urea in 3 to 4 splits in paddy crop. Dr. A.Vijaya Bhaskar, Co-ordinator and Senior Scientist, TRVK, Warangal advised farmers for removal of excess water from cotton fields , soil drenching with COC @ 3grams per liter water to reduce wilt disease in cotton,spray Acephate 300grams with 200 liter water for acre and keep yellow, blue sticky traps 8 per acre to control the sucking pests etc., Dr. B.V. Raj Kumar, Dr. R. Vishwatej, Ashok, AEO, Narsampet, progressive farmers and RAWEP students were also attended the field visit.
