Field Day on HDPS Cotton, KVK, Kampasagar

KVK, Kampasagar conducted field day on HDPS Cotton at M. Satyanarayana’s farmer field, P.K. Mallepally village, Chinthapally cluster. In this programme Dr. K. Chandrashekar (SMS, Crop Production) highlighted the benefits of HDPS cotton cultivation, stating it yields 40% more within a short duration (5 months) at a lower cost of cultivation. He also suggested suitable varieties for HDPS, PGR dose and time of sowing and fertilizer management practices for cotton and paddy.Lavudya Kumar, YP-II, discussed sucking pest management practices and IPM practices for bollworms in cotton. As part of the event Rohith Sagar, Area Manager, recommended suitable varieties like Rasi-929 and Rasi-971 for HDPS, which have a yield record of 11-13 quintals/acre.
