Farmer Scientist interaction on Production Technologies in Rabi Maize” and Distribution of Maize seed under Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) by ARS, Karimnagar on 16-12-2025.

Agricultural Research Station, Karimnagar organized a Farmer Scientist interaction on “Production Technologies in Rabi maize and distribution of maize seed under Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) was taken up on 16-12-2025 at Chinthaman Thanda of Manala Village, Rudrangi Mandal, Rajanna siricilla District. At the outset, Dr. E. Umarani, Scientist (Pl. Br.), ARS, Karimnagar has welcomed gathering and briefed about the research activities carried out at ARS,, Karimnagar and enlisted the suitable hybrids for rabi maize cultivation. Later she also explained about the objectives of the TSP programme. Further, a farmer scientist interaction was conducted. Followed by, Dr. E. Rajanikanth, Scientist (Agro.), ARS, Karimnagar has explained in detailed about the queries raised by the farmers. He also emphasized about the weed management, fertilizer management aspects of rabi maize and also focused on problems and perceptive of zero tillage maize cultivation. Later, Dr. G. Usharani, Scientist (Pl. Br.) ARS, Karimnagar gave brief note importance of crop diversification, cultivation of specialty corns as means to generate additional income and management of fall army warm during rabi season. Followed by Sri. G. Thirupathi a progressive farmer from Chinthaman Thanda shared his experiences about the cultivation of Karimnagar Makka-1 hybrid. Later, distribution of Hybrid Maize seed was taken up to the Tribal farmers of Manala revenue village. Smt. Priyadarshini, MAO, Rudrangi, Sri Venkatesh, AEO, Manala, Smt, D. Padma, AO, ARS, Karimnagar, Sri. Vamshi, AEO, Karimnagar and around 52 tribal farmers from Manala were attended the programme. The programme was ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. E. Umarani, Scientist (Pl. Br.), ARS, Karimnagar.
