Orientation cum exposure visit of RAWEP students at DAATTC & ARS, Tornala on 08.07.2025

Orientation cum exposure visit was organized by DAATTC and ARS, Tornala on 08.07.2025 at ARS, Tornala by highlighting the research and extension activities being conducted at DAATTC and ARS, Tornala. As part of student–scientist interaction session, Dr. G. Santhosh kumar, Scientist & Head, ARS, Tornala highlighted the different agricultural technologies being implemented at ARS, Tornala along with the soil conservation and water harvesting techniques. Later, Dr. Ch. Pallavi, Scientist, DAATTC, Tornala spoken about farm mechanization in different crops, inter cropping system in CTZ and opportunities of crop diversification in CTZ. Later, students were demonstrated sowing of maize with pneumatic planter at 60cm x 20cm spacing of DHM-206 under farm mechanization used for increasing labour use efficiency at ARS, Tornala. In this programme 5 farmers and 27 students from BJR Agricultural College - Sircilla have participated.
