The District Level Coordination Committee (DLCC) meeting was conducted at the Telangana Rythu Vignana Kendram (TRVK), PJTAU, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, on 6th January, 2026. The meeting aimed to review past agricultural technical activities and strategize for the upcoming cropping seasons. The meeting was chaired by Dr. K. Chandrasekhar, Assistant Director of Extension (PJTAU), and Dr. L Krishna, Associate Director of Research, Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS), Palem, Southern Telangana Zone. Dr. D. Sreelatha, Coordinator of TRVK, presented a detailed report on the research results of technical programs, On Farm Trials (OFTs) Frontline Demonstrations (FLDs), and Minikits conducted over 2025-26 year, highlighting the impact of these initiatives on local farming. Dr. K. Chandrasekhar urged farmers to become self-reliant in seed production to avoid the risks of spurious seeds. He emphasized that farmers should come forward to produce quality seeds and sharing them with fellow farmers is the best way to ensure sustainable yields. Dr. Krishna explained the core objective of the DLCC meeting and gathered feedback directly from farmers. He invited suggestions and recommendations from farmers to identify the specific technological interventions required for the formulation of the technical program for the year 2026-27. District Agriculture Officer (DAO) Sri P.V. Ramana Reddy provided information on the importance of Cotton Shredders/government subsidies available to farmers for purchasing this machinery. District Horticulture and Sericulture Officer (DHSO) Smt. Madhavi educated participants on the process of obtaining nursery licenses and shared best management practices for Oil Palm cultivation. Sri Dev Singh, Project Director, ATMA also addressed the gathering. Dr. Ramesh, Assistant Director, Veterinary Department has briefed about Schemes/subsidies available under Animal husbandry scheme. Progressive Farmers & Committee Members Sri Mandadi Siddha Reddy, Sri Kanchi Mallaiah, Sri G. Krishna Reddy, Sri S. Ellaiah, and Smt. S. Venkatamma. farmers from various villages across the district also attended the session, sharing their field-level challenges and suggestions with the scientists and officials.
