DAATTC, Tornala conducted diagnostic field visits in Maize of Mirzapur & Gandhi nagar villages, Husnabad (M), Siddipet (D) along with Agriculture department officials (MAO- Smt. Pooja, AEOs Sri. Vijay Yadav & Smt. Ishwarya). The crops are at Knee high stage. Observed FAW (above ETL) in Sri. P. Ramulu maize field and suggested to spray with Emamectin benzoate @ 80g/acre or Chlorantraniliprole @ 60 ml/acre and installation of pheromone traps @ 8 /acre for monitoring and mass trapping. He has sprayed four times (Synthetic pyrethriods) but the pest was not controlled. In this visit Dr. Ch. Pallavi, Scientist, DAATTC, Tornala and 10 farmers were participated.
