Awareness cum demonstration on green manure preceding to rice by DAATTC, Tornala at Chittapur (V), Akbarpet Bhoompally (M), Siddipet district on 05.07.2025"

Awareness programme cum demonstration on incorporation of green manure (Dhaincha & Sunhemp) preceding to Rice was conducted by DAATTC, Tornala at Chittapur (V), Akbarpet Bhoompally (M), Siddipet district on 05.07.2025. Dr. Ch. Pallavi, Scientist briefed about the importance and insisted to grow green manure crops like daincha, sunhemp, green gram, pilli pesara preceding to Kharif Rice. Incorporation of green manure crops helps in enrichment of soil fertility and organic matter. Fertilizer usage in paddy and reduction of chemical fertilizer in Rice due to green manuring and 15 farmers were participated.
