The NSS Unit of BJR Agricultural College, Sircilla organized a programme to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the patriotic song Vande Mataram on 7th November, 2025 at 10:00 AM at the college portico. The event began with a brief address by the Associate Dean, Dr. K. B. Suneetha Devi who highlighted the historical significance and emotional power of Vande Mataram in India’s freedom struggle. She emphasized that the song continues to inspire unity, patriotism and respect for the Motherland even after 150 years of its creation by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee. Following the address, a mass singing of Vande Mataram was conducted by the NSS Programme Officers, Dr. R. Sai Kumar and Dr. G. Priyadarshini, during which the students, staff, and the Associate Dean joined in singing the patriotic song, filling the atmosphere with enthusiasm and national pride. The event served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters and the enduring values of love, respect, and service towards the nation. The program concluded with expressions of pride and gratitude, reaffirming the spirit of nationalism among all participants.
