Celebration of Sri Kaloji Narayana Rao”s 111th birth anniversary (Jayanthi) at Babu Jagjivan Ram Agricultural College, Sircilla

BJR Agricultural College, Sircilla celebrated Padma Vibhushan popularly known as Praja Kavi, Sri Kaloji Narayana Rao”s 111th birth anniversary (Jayanthi) on 09.09.2025. Dr. Razia Sultana, Associate Dean (FAC), Teaching, Non-Teaching staff and Students were paid floral tributes to the portrait of Sri. Kaloji Narayana Rao. The programme was started by Sri. L. Raja, Officer In-charge of Student Affairs stated that Govt. of Telangana in honour of Telangana poet Kaloji Narayani Rao has declared his birth anniversary as Telangana language day. Later, Dr. Razia Sultana said that Sri. Kaloji Narayana Rao was Indian poet, freedom fighter and political activist of Telangana. He was the part of the freedom movement of Hyderabad State and underwent imprisonment under the Nizam. His commitments towards the human rights made him a popular personality in the state and his lyrics published in various languages. He was awarded an honorary doctorate by Kakatiya University. The associate Dean addressed the gathering by remembering him as a great humanist who stood as a role model for many and became an inspiration for present generation youth. The event ended with vote of thanks proposed by Sri. L. Raja, OISA, BJR Agricultural College, Sircilla.
