Acharya Kothapalli Jayashankar birth Anniversary was celebrated at Maize Research Unit, Hyderabad on 06-08-2025. Dr. D. Bhadru, Principal Scientist (Plant breeding) garlanded the portrait of Acharya Kothapalli Jayashankar and paid floral tributes. He enlightened the role of Professor Jayashankar, who was social activist and former vice chancellor of Kakatiya University and an activist in the separate Telangana movement. He also mentioned that in honour and memory of Professor Jayashankar, our university is named. All the scientists, non-teaching staff and labour of Maize Research Unit have participated in the programme and paid floral tributes to Acharya Kothapalli Jayashankar
