Celebration of Birth Anniversary of “Acharya Kothapalli Jayashankar” on 06.08.2025 at Agricultural College, Warangal

Acharya Kothapalli Jayashankar birth Anniversary celebrations was held at Agricultural College, Warangal on 06-08-2025. Dr. S. Malathi, Associate Dean, Agricultural College, Warangal garlanded the portrait of Acharya Kothapalli Jayashankar, popularly known as Professor Jayashankar and paid floral tributes. She addressed the gathering about the eminent role of Professor Jayashankar, who was an Indian academic and social activist, in protest against state reorganization and struggle for Telangana and how he dedicated his entire life to the cause of Telangana. She also addressed about his service in various Universities like Kakatiya University and authored several influential research papers addressing the developmental issues plaguing Telangana. How he motivated youth and intellectuals alike to join the movement for a separate Telangana state. Also mentioned that in honour and memory of Professor Jayashankar, our university is named. All the teaching, non-teaching staff and students of Agricultural College, Warangal participated in the programme and paid floral tributes to Acharya Kothapalli Jayashankar.
