Celebration of “Acharya Kothapalli Jayashankar” Birth Anniversary at BJR Agricultural College, Sircilla on 06.08.2025

91th Birth Anniversary of “Acharya Kothapalli Jayashankar” was organized at BJR AGC Sircilla on 06.08.2025. The programme started with garlanding the Portrait of Professor Kothapalli Jayashankar by Dr. Razia Sultana, Associate Dean (i/c), BJR AGC Sircilla, followed by floral tributes by M. A. Baig, administrative officer, Sri. L. Raja, OISA, Teaching, Non-teaching, outsourcing staff and students. Later, Associate Dean (i/c)., Dr. Razia Sultana addressed the gathering about Prof. Jayashankar as an acamadecian, social activist and symbol of courage and conviction and that his life's mission was centered on the upliftment of the people of Telangana. The address of Associate Dean also emphasized students to take him as an inspiration from his ideology and know their fundamental rights. Dr. R. Sai Kumar, Assistant Professor (SSAC), said Acharya Kothapalli Jayashankar” played a crucial role for achieving separate state. L. Raja, OISA, briefed about Jayashankar Sir Family, personality and positions and his sacrifices and contribution for formation of Telangana State. The programme ended with the vote of thanks proposed by L. Raja, OISA.
