Awareness cum Demonstration of PSB and its application was conducted by DAATTC, Tornala at Ankshapur (V), Nangunoor (M), Siddipet district on 16.07.2025. Dr. G. Santhosh, Scientist & Head, ARS, Tornala briefed about the importance of Phosphate-solubilizing bacteria which plays a vital role in P solubilization by producing organic acids and its mechanism. PSB can be used for all crops including paddy, millets, oilseeds, pulses and vegetables. Dr. Ch. Pallavi, Scientist explained about application of PSB through seed treatment, seedling dipping and soil application. For Seed treatment of 10 kg medium size seeds such as paddy, groundnut, wheat, cotton, maize etc., may be treated with 200 g of inoculant, whereas 100 g per acre inoculant is enough for treatment of small size seeds. Seedling dipping method is useful where the transplantation of seedlings are required. Dip the roots of seedlings in suspension and keep them immersed for about 5 minutes. Take out the seedlings from the suspension and transplant as early as possible. Suspension of one kg in 10 to 15 litre of water for treating of seedlings for one acre. For Soil application mix 2 kg inoculant with 50-100 kg finely powdered FYM and broad cast this mixture at the time of last ploughing. Later, we method demonstrated the PSB by mixing 2 kg inoculant with 50-100 kg finely powdered FYM and broad cast this mixture at the time of last ploughing thereby reduction of Phosphorus fertilizer usage in Rice by 25-50% in Sri. Ch. Sathyanarayana paddy field and distributed a pamphlet on PSB uses and its application methods. In this programme, Sri. Devender, AEO, Ghanapur, 20 farmers and 11 RAWEP students from BJR, Agricultural College, Siricilla were participated.
