Compliance Report on Observing Parthenium Awareness Week from 16-08-2025 to 22-08-2025 at Agricultural Polytechnic, Palem

Agricultural Polytechnic, Palem, has observed Parthenium Awareness Week from 16-08-2025 to 18-08-2025, collaborating with the Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS), Palem. On this occasion, the Associate Director of Research, RARS, delivered a lecture on 22-08-2025 to scientists and students of the Agricultural Polytechnic in Palem and Narayanpet on the harmful effects of parthenium on human health, livestock, crops, and the environment, and emphasized various integrated management practices. As part of the programme, all the participants pledged to eradicate parthenium and spread awareness among farmers and society. Subsequently, scientists, faculty, and students actively participated in the field activity by uprooting parthenium weeds in the fields of RARS and the Agricultural Polytechnic College premises. The programme concluded successfully with a collective commitment to continue eradication efforts in and around the campus.
