Live telecast of 20th instalment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana on 02.08.2025 at KVK, Wyra

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM-KISAN) is an initiative by the government of India, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, aimed at addressing the financial requirements of farmers for agricultural inputs and household needs. It is a Central Sector scheme with 100% funding from Government of India. It has become operational from 1.12.2018. Under the scheme an income support of 6,000/- per year in three equal instalments will be provided to all land holding farmer families. In this regard, KVK, Wyra organised a large gathering at Rythu Shikshana Bhavan at KVK, Wyra. As part of the programme Shri. D. Pullaiah, DAO, Khammam along with Department officials Shri. Manju Khan, MAO and Shri. Venu, HO participated in the programme and enlightened the gathering on different government schemes and asked them to utilise the schemes for the benefit of farming community. Dr. P. Rukhmini Devi, Principal Scientist and Head explained on different management practices in Pulses, Dr. M. Ram Prasad addressed on Different management practices in Cotton, Dr. T. Pavani highted on pest management practices in Cotton and Paddy, Dr. V. Chaitanya explained on management practices in Chilli and Smt. P.S.M Phanisri reflected on HDPS Cotton technology. Later the farmers queries were answered related to present cropping system.
