KVK, Palem organized PM Kisan Samman Nidhi – 20th installment Live streaming programme at Auditorium, RARS, Palem (V), Bijinepally (M), Nagarkurnool (D) on 02.08.2025

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Palem organized a live streaming event of the 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) programme at the Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS), Palem Auditorium. Dr. P. Sreedevi, Programme Coordinator, KVK Palem, welcomed the participants and highlighted the objectives of the PM-KISAN scheme. She restated that KVK Palem’s commitment to serving the farming community of Nagarkurnool district and encouraged farmers to make optimal use of the financial assistance received under the scheme for the farm activities. Dr. T. Ram Prakash, Associate Director of Research, RARS Palem, as the Chief Guest addressed the gathering on the core purpose of the PM-KISAN programme, emphasizing how it supports farmers in meeting cultivation expenses. He also urged farmers to utilize the funds effectively for improved agricultural practices. He further highlighted on several central government initiatives/schemes beneficial to farmers, including: Drone Didi Project, Kisan Credit Card Scheme, PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi, National Mission on Natural Farming. He also referenced the recent success of "Operation Sindhoor", highlighting how it fostered national unity and strengthened public confidence. Sr. Yashwanth Rao, DAO, Sri. Poorna Chandra Reddy, ADA, Sri. Kamal, MAO, Sri Krishnaiah DAESI programme facilitator discussed the prevailing crop conditions and shared insights into the agricultural scenario in the district. Progressive farmers Sri Chandraiah from Nandi Waddeman and Smt. Laxmi from Yathmathapur expressed their satisfaction with the hassle free disbursement of the previous 19 installments, noting the significant support it provided to their farming activities and those of fellow farmers in their villages. Finallally, there was a farmers scientist interaction where all the queries regarding crop condition were clarified and distributed inputs as apart of technical programme -IDM in maize and IPM in Cotton. Bhargav, AEO’s, All the teaching and non-teaching staff, Young professionals of KVK, Palem and 305 farmers and farm women a Total of 325 members were participated.
